This course is for learners who need American Heart Association ACLS certification card,both first time or renewing learners take the same hands on skills session. (online precourse work must be completed prior to the hands on skills session).

AHA ACLS Provider certification card:
- For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.
Self Paced online precourse work and instructor Led Classroom portion instructs learners to:
- Apply the BLS, Primary, and Secondary Assessments sequence for a systematic evaluation of adult patients.
- Perform prompt, high-quality BLS, including prioritizing early chest compressions and integrating early automated external defibrillator (AED) use
- Recognize and perform early management of respiratory arrest
- Discuss early recognition and management of ACS and stroke, including appropriate disposition
- Recognize and perform early management of bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome
- Recognize and perform early management of cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or transfer of care, including immediate post-cardiac arrest care
- Model effective communication as a member or leader of a high-performance team
- Evaluate resuscitative efforts during a cardiac arrest through continuous assessment of CPR quality, monitoring the patient’s physiologic response, and delivering real-time feedback to the team
- Recognize the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance
- Discuss how the use of a rapid response team or medical emergency team may improve patient outcomes
- Define systems of care
The course Fee Does not include the Mandatory AHA ACLS manual*:
- Contains all of the information students need to know to successfully complete the instructor-led, classroom ACLS course. It is designed for use by a single student, and as a reference tool before, during, and after the course. The manual provides students access to a website containing mandatory and supplemental information and reference materials
- The manual includes ACLS Pocket Reference Card set, 1 sheet of tab labels, and 1 ACLS Precourse Preparation Checklist Card

For successful course completion:
students must demonstrate skills competency in all learning stations, pass the high-quality BLS skills test, bag-mask ventilation skills test, and the Megacode test. They also must pass the ACLS exam with a score of 84% or higher (open book). Upon successful completion, students receive an AHA ACLS course completion card.

1. What is the blended learning?
The blended learning allows learners to go over an ACLS online Precourse Work at home in a self paced mode.Then learner come to an inperson hands on skills session to review content and demonstrate skills. The online course lessons cover multiple medical subjects and each lesson includes questions to engage the student. This prework allows more classroom time for hands-on skills training and leads to the student being better prepared to participate as soon as they enter the classroom.
2. What is the benefit of this method?
- Minimizes classroom portion time; in the old method learners spent alot of time in class watching videos, now that can be done from the safety of somones home.
- Allows for self paced learning; now learners can pause, resume, or repeat videos as many times as needed to take notes and understand the concepts presented, which was not permissible in the old method.
- Allows instructors and learners to spend more time focusing on practicing skills and team dynamics.
3. How do I access the online componenet? upon registering for the class you will receive a confimration email with a link and detailed instructions about completing the online precourse work.
4. How long is the hands on skills session? the in person hands on skills session is roughly about 2-4 hours depending on learners experience and the number of learners in class.
5. why is it for initial and renewal? Because every learner completes the same online course and the same hands on skills session regardless of their prior ACLS status.
6. How different is this from the 2 days course for initial? This will lead to the same certificate (AHA ACLS); as the old 2 days course for initial, it is just delievered in a bledned format.
7. Can I take BLS or PALS same day? Yes you can add BLS or PALS or both to your registration and the hands on skills sessions for all can be done the same day. *Please see Understand your add-on list below.
9. Is the book provided? We provide books (manuals) in 2 methods ebook or paperpac. *Please see Understand your add-on list below.
10. How do I get the book? If you choose paperback manual you will be given the book in class, if you choose ebook you will be emailed an access code immediately upon registering.
