Who should take this course?
The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. It does not matter if it is your 1st time taking AHA BLS or if you have taken the course many times before, the online course is the same for all learners.
What is included in this course:
1- The Heartcode BLS online course (part 1): you will be sent a link to your course immediately after registration.
HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning (online portion), in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session. HeartCode BLS includes 8 modules, 4 eSimulations, and two video tutorials.
2- The hands on skills session (part 2):
during the session you will see a demonstration of the skills you are expected to perform, you will also get a chance to practice the skills learned before being tested.
3- Electronic reference material:
these reference material help you while taking the online course to understand the material better and promote retention of the cognitive portion of the course.
